The Member of Parliament for the Talensi Constituency, Daniel Dung Mahama, has announced an initiative to motivate students and teachers in his constituency.
Speaking at the 68th Independence Day celebrations, Mr. Mahama pledged to award teachers and students if they achieve above 50% in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) this year.
Mr. Mahama emphasized the importance of education, describing it as the key to success. He encouraged students to take their studies seriously and urged teachers to ensure that their students work hard and grasp all necessary concepts.
To boost performance, the MP challenged teachers and students to break the district’s trend of low academic achievement by surpassing the 50% pass mark district-wide. If this goal is met, all students and their teachers will receive awards in recognition of their hard work and dedication.
“Every aspect of life is about education, and I am appealing to all students to ensure that this year, the Talensi District breaks the 50% record in the BECE. If we achieve this, all students and teachers will receive an award,” he said.
According to the MP, this initiative aims to improve educational outcomes in the Talensi Constituency, which has faced challenges with poor examination results in the past.
The Talensi MP also called on residents to take an active interest in education and contribute in any way possible to promote quality learning in the district.
